Craftingtable is built around the idea that your architecture should live in the same place as your code: in Git. When you initialize a project, it creates a deterministic .craftingtable/ folder structure. Every business case, component, and schema is saved as formatted JSON and Markdown. You can branch, merge, and review them in pull requests. There is no hidden database and no proprietary cloud format — just data that you own.
Why it matters
A new developer joining the team just clones the repository. The entire architecture, history, and context is right there, ready to be read by humans or loaded into an MCP server for their AI.
Combined with the rest of the Craftingtable suite, this eliminates the friction between planning and execution. The context graph ensures nothing is missed, and every line of code serves a documented business purpose.
